Additional Courses - Teacher Training

If you find yourself without work as a performer, obtaining a dance teaching qualification can be a smart career move. Teaching dance can provide a reliable source of income, steady work, and the opportunity to share your passion for dance with others.
Adding a dance teaching qualification to your current qualifications can provide numerous benefits. First and foremost, it can enhance your skills as a dancer and deepen your understanding of the art form. This knowledge can then be passed on to your students, making you a more effective teacher and mentor.

A dance teaching qualification can also open up new career opportunities, such as teaching at dance schools, community centres, or universities. It can also increase your earning potential, as many organisations prefer to hire teachers with formal qualifications.
Overall, adding a dance teaching qualification to your current qualifications is a valuable investment in your career as a dancer and educator. It can provide you with new skills, opportunities, and experiences that will benefit both you and your students.

Furthermore, having a teaching qualification can make you a more attractive candidate for future performance work. Many productions require performers who are able to teach choreography or lead dance rehearsals, and having a teaching qualification can demonstrate that you have the necessary skills and experience.
